Sony Slim External Blu-ray Rewritable Drive

Sony Optiarc America introduced its first slim, portable and external Blu-ray Disc which is rewritable drive for the compliment notebooks, notebooks or desktop PCs. BDX-S500U is the new model used to write single BD-R media at up to 6X and dual layer BD-R media at up to 4X speeds, which records 25GB a full disc in about 20 minutes.

New Generation NVIDIA Tegra 2



NVIDIA Corporation today officially announced a new generation of its platform Tegra, performed based on ARM processor. The new development, as expected, was named the NVIDIA Tegra 2 and a chip built on the norms of a "thin" 40-nm process technology, which is believed, makes it much more energy efficient solution than the Atom processors, and even platform Snapdragon.

However this chip includes eight independent processors, including dual-core CPU for mobile systems Cortex-A9 at speeds up to 1 GHz and, as stated, can operate up to four times faster than the first generation of Tegra.

Seagate introduced the Momentus Thin drive. This is the world’s Thinnest 2.5" HDD for laptops, netbooks, backup devices and consumer electronics. At a wafer thin 7mm in height 25 percent slimmer than traditional 9.5mm 2.5inch laptop hard drives. Of all netbook computers available today, 90% feature 9.5mm 2.5inch laptop drives because solid state and 1.8" hard drives are largely cost-prohibitive for this market. The Momentus Thin drive provides affordable, thin storage for netbooks and slim laptops, enabling computer makers to offer systems that reach a broader market.
